Scan-n-Pay lets users publish a public checkout page containing a business name, optional tagline, optional image/logo,
and payment buttons that link to third-party payment services.
Important: Do not enter passwords, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal data into Scan-n-Pay.
Scan-n-Pay is designed for public publishing.
User-provided content & liability
Scan-n-Pay allows users to publish content, including (but not limited to) business names, taglines/messages, images/logos,
and payment links (“User Content”).
You are solely responsible for your User Content.
You represent and warrant that your User Content is accurate, lawful, and that you have all rights necessary to publish it.
Do not publish content that is deceptive, unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
Energy Etch LLC does not verify, endorse, monitor, or guarantee the accuracy, legality, safety, or legitimacy of any User Content,
any payment link, or any transaction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Energy Etch LLC and Scan-n-Pay are not liable for any losses, disputes, chargebacks,
fraud, incorrect payments, broken or misdirected links, customer complaints, or damages of any kind arising from or related to User Content
or use of third-party payment services.
Payments disclaimer
Scan-n-Pay is not a payment processor.
Energy Etch LLC does not receive, process, store, transmit, or have access to customer payment credentials or financial account information.
All payments occur directly between the customer and the vendor using third-party providers (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Square, Stripe, etc.).
Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Scan-n-Pay collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect only the information needed to operate Scan-n-Pay and we do not sell your personal data.
What we collect
- Authentication (Google Sign-In): account identifier and email address; Firebase user ID.
- Vendor configuration: business name, tagline/message, enabled payment links, and publish/unpublish state.
- Image/logo (optional): if you upload an image, it is stored so it can be displayed on your public checkout page.
- Operational data: limited logs and technical signals used to maintain reliability and prevent abuse.
We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account credentials. Payments are handled by third-party providers you link to.
How we use data
- To authenticate you and secure access to your account.
- To publish and display your checkout page configuration and optional logo.
- To provide core app features (publish, unpublish, republish, account deletion).
- To maintain service reliability, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.
How data is shared
Scan-n-Pay uses Google Firebase services (e.g., Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Hosting, and Cloud Functions) to operate.
Data may be processed by these service providers only to provide the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data for third-party advertising.
Public checkout page
When you publish, your checkout page is public and can be accessed by anyone with the link or QR code.
The public page may display the following information you provide:
- Business name
- Tagline/message (optional)
- Image/logo (optional)
- Payment buttons/links you configured
Publishing is optional. Only publish information you’re comfortable sharing publicly.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your Scan-n-Pay data at any time from within the app:
- Open Account → Delete account → confirm deletion.
Deleting your account removes your stored vendor configuration and disables/removes your public checkout page,
and removes your uploaded image/logo when present.
You can come back anytime by signing in again and republishing your information.
